Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday claimed to have arrested two illegal arms dealers from Mochko area of Baldia Town and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions from their custody. According to CID, a team headed by SP Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, on a tip-off raided at Mochko area near Hub River road and arrested two illegal arms dealers after brief encounter.
They also claimed to have recovered some 319 explosive sticks, each stick carrying 115 gram of explosive, 1900 detonators, 232 meters cord, two pistols and a motorcycle from their possession. They said the accused persons were identified as Mirsood Khan hailed from Mardan and Fareed Khan hailed from Swat. The accused persons used to supply the explosive material to the different terrorist and separatist organisations. During the initial course of investigation the culprits revealed that Chaudhry Riaz, who was living in Lahore, was the ringleader of the gang, they maintained.
