An eight-member Indian delegation led by Secretary Water Resources Dharuv Vijaysingh arrived here on Wednesday. Indian Water Commissioner Auranga Nathan also accompanied the delegation. Member (Water) Wapda Syed Raghib Ali Shah and Chairman Indus Water Treaty Sheraz Jamil Memon received the delegation. The Indian delegation will leave for Islamabad to hold talk on Wullar Barrage with Pakistani officials.
Earlier, talking to media Pakistani High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik said, "We want the solution of Wullar Barrage with mutual understanding." He said that eight meetings between Pakistan and India would be held on various issues, however, two meetings had been held while a meeting would take place on water issue. He said that issues of Siachin Glacier and Sir Creek would be discussed in the next foreign ministry level meeting.
