Pakistan is a warm and hospitable country and the image that world has of it does not present a true picture. This was stated by General Manager LG Electronics Suyoung Ryu during an informal discussion with the media. Ryu said he had a lot of apprehension when he first learnt that he was to be posted here, but was pleasantly surprised when he arrived and took charge.
He said during his stay, he had found the people of Pakistan to be very hospitable and warm-hearted. He added there was no doubt that many security issues existed, but on the whole, the people of Pakistan were very kind. In his opinion, there were many similarities between the Pakistani and Korean people as both were family oriented, hard working and very accommodative and considerate for the welfare of others.
He said he was happy to be in Pakistan and was no longer concerned about security as he had seen the true face of this country. He also advised other people to visit Pakistan to obtain a first hand and true picture about this country. The LG Electronics official said he had visited and interacted with the people of 14 cities all over the country and had been amazed by the rich cultural diversity of this land.
He added that now he felt so comfortable and at home in Pakistan that he only concentrated on how to increase LG's presence in the local market and enhance its market share. Suyoung Ryu said he would have no hesitation in inviting other foreigners to invest in Pakistan as this country and its people were wonderful.-PR
