The Lahore High Court here Tuesday issued notices to federal government and Wapda chairman in a petition seeking directions for federal government to disclose all under construction projects aimed at ending power crisis. A bar member Rana Ilamudin Ghazi filed the petition questioning the failure of government functionaries to overcome power crisis.
Petitioner prayed to the court direct the government to submit the details of all international agreements on power production before the court, especially the agreements with China. He has claimed that China had offered Pakistan to supply domestic and commercial electricity connection on Rs 500 and Rs 3000 per month respectively.
