Islamabad Police installed its own telephone exchange at Aabpara Police Station aimed at streamlining the working of the law enforcement institution to make communication among the policemen and police officials more easy and effective.
The telephone exchange was formally inaugurated by DIG (Operations) Bani Amin Khan and the SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan, while SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas, ASP City Fasial Bashir Memon, DSP Sabir Shah, SHO Aabpara Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi and other police officials were also present on the occasion. Around eight incoming lines of PTCL or NTC have been provided at the police exchange while 48 extensions have been connected through it for the effective communication.
The main police offices including special branch, police line, SSP House, SP offices and houses have been connected through intercom facility by the exchange. Addressing the gathering DIG (Operations) appreciated the good work of DSP (Tele) Sabir Shah and his team who installed the exchange.
He also awarded appreciation certificate to DSP Sabir Shah and Rs 2,000 to the four cops each namely Head Constable Waheed Mughal, Constables Khan Akhtar, Saad Ullah Khan and Muhammad Usman in recognition of their services. DIG (Operations) also awarded cash prize of Rs 2000 to police photographer, Assistant Sub-Inspector Syed Tahir Hussain Shah each for his brilliant performance.
He said that Islamabad police is committed to facilitate their employees and improve their efficiency through providing them best technology. He said that it is now up to them to acquaint themselves with latest facilities and ensure better working for relief to the citizens. He also visited Islamabad police control room at Aabpara police station.
