Intra-net system: EU delegation for linking ministries with provinces
The European Union (EU), proposed the government to link the various ministries with the provinces by the efficient and effective intra-net system. In a meeting with Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination (IPC), Mian Raza Rabbani on Friday, the EU delegation which is currently visiting Pakistan said that under the system all the working and on-going projects of different departments should be assessed by the federal government.
The EU Mission comprised of European Development Committee members including Nirj Deva, Enrique Guetrero Salom, Ricardo Cortez Lastra, Valerie Remat, Christopher Williams, Ambassador Lars Gunnar Wigemark, Head of Operations Berend De Groot and Political Attache Louise Kornung.
The EU delegation discussed the challenges faced by the country due to floods last year and their quick response to handle the situation. They also showed interest in trade, human rights, education, poverty alleviation and innovations, etc. Mian Raza Rabbani, Federal Minister for IPC said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) understands and is more sensitised than other political parties on the need of Human Rights. He further emphasised that the 18th Amendment came in the time when there was a lot of polarisation which was passed unanimously by both Houses and thus shows moral and political authority of the Parliament.
