President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday remained tight-lipped over the possible PPP-PML(Q) alliance saying the Prime Minister might be in a good position to speak on the subject. Speaking to journalists after attending a reception hosted by British High Commissioner in connection with Prince William of Wales-Catherine Middleton wedding and Queen's 85th Birthday celebrations, the President parried questions about his party's on-going negotiations with PML-Q.
According to some media reports, the President had taken Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani into confidence over his talks with leaders PML-Q earlier in the day. During his talk with Prime Minister Gilani, President Zardari stated that not only would the PML-Q's inclusion in the federal government strengthen the coalition, it would also enhance the PPP chances to win the majority in the next general elections.
