The Punjab Sports Board has decided to make three games compulsory at school level for the promotion of sports activities in the province. It was decided during the Board's meeting held here on Wednesday under the Chairmanship of Punjab Education Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, disclosed an official.
The meeting decided to include hockey and cricket while the third game would be decided by the schools keeping in view its popularity in the area. It was decided that Punjab Sports Board would take steps for promotion of athletics while evening sports centres will also be established. The meeting also decided to award prizes and incentives to sportsmen at school level.
