An earthquake of mild intensity measuring 4.1 on Richter scale struck upper areas of country including Swat, Malakand, Dir, Buner, Shangla and adjoining areas in the wee hours on Monday. According to the initial report of met office, no loss of life was reported while rescue activities have been started in the affected areas. The epicentre of the quake lied 21 kilometres away from Chitral district.
