Two persons arrested for killing friend

Golra Police Islamabad has arrested two persons for killing their friend. According to details, a body of unidentified person seemed to be in his 30s was found from sector G-14/2, Dhok Kashmirian and initial medical report revealed that deceased was strangulated to death, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Saturday.
Police started the investigation into the matter and to know the whereabouts and identity of deceased, spokesman said, adding that the deceased was identified as Rehman Shehzad alias Ateeq son of Chaudhry Rehmat Ali resident of House. 995, Block No 3-B, China Scheme Baghbanpura Lahore and also was only brother of four sisters.
After his identification and handing over the body to his family, SP (Saddar) Dr Khurram Rasheed assigned the task to DSP Malik Tahir Mehmud to trace the culprits involved in this heinous crime. A special team led by Malik Tahir started the search for killers and succeeded to arrest two persons. They have been identified as Jehangir son of Hazrat Jameel resident of Pattan district Kohistan and Haji Nawab son of Balawar Khan resident of Gulyari district Buner while search of their other accomplice is underway.
During the initial investigation, they revealed that deceased was a well-reputed businessman in Lahore. He came along with them to Islamabad from Lahore and then was detained by them in a house at `Dhok Kashmirian'. The killers confessed that they wanted to get ransom amount from the family members of Rehman Shehzad but he refused to give them any contact number of his heirs. Upon this, they got furious and strangulated him to death in the same house. Police team has been constituted to arrest the other accomplice of killers.
