Lean business was seen on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as leading buyers were sidelined most of the time in expectations of fall in the rates, dealers said. On the cereal side gur inferior type did not move any side, holding its overnight level at Rs 6200, other items were unmoved in the absence of strong demand, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-white (broken) low type maintained its overnight level at Rs 2800 while the best type was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 2900 in process of trading, they said. On the seed side cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 1320 while the good type was unchanged at Rs 1380, they said.
