The profit after tax of Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has increased to rupees 1,009.484 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 834.162 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 14.60 in the period under review against Rs 12.07 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday declared that the company's cumulative profit after tax has increased to Rs 2.752 billion, translating earning per share of Rs 39.83 in the nine months period ended March 31, 2011 against after tax profit of Rs 2.323 billion with per share earning of Rs 33.61 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 32.191 billion in the quarter this year against Rs 24.221 billion in the same period in 2010. The company paid Rs 4.384 billion as sales tax against Rs 3.065 billion paid in the same account last year. The company's net sales stood at Rs 27.806 billion in this quarter against Rs 21.156 billion while cost of products sales increased to Rs 26.768 billion against Rs 20.292 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 1.375 billion in the three months period in 2011 against Rs 1.148 billion in the same quarter in 2010.
