Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Fayaz Lagari has presented a shield to Chairman Law and Order Sub Committee of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Nadeem Khan in recognition of his services to assist Madadgar 15 and control the crimes in Korangi.
He presented the award at the inaugural ceremony of regional office of Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) in Korangi industrial area. Talking to newsmen, Nadeem Khan has expressed concern over new strategy adopted by land grabbers to hoist political party's flags on grabbed land.
He urged the political parties to take action against such elements and remove the flags. He also urged the Sindh government to increase the salary of police personnel in the same manner as Punjab government has increased wages of police employees. Fayaz Lagari paid highest regard to Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan and Nadeem Khan on successfully running Madadgar 15 during last five years.
He said that efforts are being made to further improve Madadgar 15 and a new system is introduced for quick response incase general public need police help. He assured that police would take all possible measures to protect business community and general pubic from extortionist's mafia.
However, he advised business community to trust on police. Leader of business community, S M Munir while expressing concern over increasing incident of extortion of money and lawlessness said that the country is suffering billion of rupees losses due to these incidents. He said high cost of manufacturing, ever increasing utility charges, high oil prices and high mark-up rates have already made enough dent and businessmen have started to shift their business to some other countries.
