Total open interest at the futures counter increased by 5 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 1.55 billion. The futures spreads, however, declined by 0.44 percent on week-on-week basis to 9.25 percent. Trading at the futures counter remained thin as average daily volumes declined by 19 percent on week-on-week basis to 2.5 million shares.
The top-5 scrips at the futures counter constituting 69 percent of the total open interest were POL, Engro, LUCK, DGKC and MCB.
