'Chief minister Punjab not sincere to resolve problems of the people'
'We are playing a role of an effective and strong opposition in Punjab Assembly and we would continue to pinpoint masses' problems', said Raja Riaz leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly while talking to Khurshid Ahmed Khan city President of PPP Multan.
Criticising Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for not attending the proceedings of the house, he said that the CM was not sincere to resolve the problems of people. He said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had sacrificed their lives to protect the rights of poor masses, adding that the PPP would continue its struggles to fulfil their mission. Talking regarding the suicide attack at Sakhi Sarwar Darbar in Dera Ghazi Khan, Raja Riaz said that it was a security lapse. He said that 52 persons were killed and 97 received injuries in the incident while the police arrested a suicide bomber Umer s/o Zubair, resident of South Waziristan. PPP leader said Sharif's moral stance had been exposed by his party's new alliance with dissidents from the PML-Q to prop up the PML-N-led government in Punjab. However, he said the PPP will not bring a no-confidence motion against chief minister Shahbaz Sharif or ask him to seek a trust vote.
