1 min
Punjab Agricu-lture Department has advised cotton growers to take timely precautionary measures to save the crop from rain effects. The department, in a statement on Sunday said farmers should sow cotton in lining in the salinity-affected area. If rain occurs after two or three days of sowing and hardens land, it is better to re-sow it in the wet land.
The growers were asked not to sow cotton in low-lying fields or at-least the sowing should be in lining.
