We will look to improve our rankings in West Indies tour: Afridi

Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi Thursday said that his side would be looking for series triumph against host West Indies and lift their rankings. "Although we recorded a ten-wicket win over West Indies in World Cup quarterfinals but it would not make us complacent and we are expecting a tough competition with West Indies.
However, we would try our best to win every match and lift our ODI Rankings," said Afridi, who left for West Indies on Thursday. He further said that every player would have to play with responsibility as West Indies have the potential to beat them. Afridi said he feels that the decision to include youngsters has been a good decision and it would help him prepare a strong team for World T20 Championship.
"We would see the performance of our players in West Indies keeping in view World T20 Championship next year," he said. He added that the camp had been a good one for the WI series but it had been very brief and they would again undergo training in West Indies before the series begins. "It wouldn't be difficult for us to adapt to the conditions of West Indies as it is more or less like the sub-continental conditions," he said. The World Cup semi-finalists would play a T20 match on 21st April against the host and then five ODI matches. They would also play two Tests.
