Upward trend in modest trading on grain market

Modest trading was seen on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday where masoor and urad prices showed increase due to strong demand, dealers said. On the cereal side masoor Canada gained Rs 200 to Rs 6200-6300, masoor dal Canada low type was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 7800 and better variety rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8000.
Urad Punjab followed same pattern, low type rose by Rs 150 to Rs 3250 and best quality appreciated by Rs 100 to Rs 3300. Moong Punjab, however, was quoted lower at Rs 8750, they said. A solo deal was reported on the rice sector as Irri-6 Sindh low type shed Rs 20 to Rs 3300 and good type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3350, they said.
