The Swiss franc gained versus the euro on Tuesday, lifted by an uptick in risk aversion after Japan upgraded the severity of the nuclear crisis and bourses in Asia posted falls. The franc was up 0.4 percent against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.3034 per euro at 0635 GMT after having risen as high as 1.2968 earlier in the session. The Swissie rose against the dollar. The franc was up 0.2 percent against the dollar at 0.9053 per dollar.
