New IG of NH&MP takes over charge

The newly appointed Inspector General (IG) of National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Zafarullah Khan took over the charge here on Monday. Zafarullah Khan is the 8th IG NH&MP. Before his posting as IG NH&MP, he has a good track record of professional competence in Police department.
He held numerous important assignments in KPK Police as well as in Intelligence Bureau and FIA; he has also served as Joint DG, Intelligence Bureau, Director FIA, Commandant FC, Peshawar, DIG Hazara, DIG Mardan, SSP Peshawar, DG, FIA and DG, National Counter Terrorism Authority during his 34 years of service. He has been awarded two times with Pakistan Police Medal (PPM). He had also qualified a professional course from the Police Staff College London.
On his arrival at NH&MP Headquarters at Islamabad, Police cops presented Guard of Honour to him. In his opening address, he emphasised upon the senior officers to promote help culture and courtesy with the road users, as this is the hallmark of the success of NH&MP.
