Meeting of SHRM Forum Pakistan held

SHRM is a non-profit Human Resource Management Society working for the advancement of the profession and has more than 250,000 members in 140 countries. The maiden meeting of SHRM Forum Pakistan was held in synchronous video mode at Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, says a press release received, here on Monday.
Thirty two pioneer HR members from market player business entities, under the leadership of Zahid Ali Mubarik GPHR enthusiastically deliberated upon the ways and means for advancement of HR profession in Pakistan and promote effective HR practices at workplace, so that employees prefer to give optimum performance and improve industrial productivity.
They discussed and finalised Forum's charter and resolved that SHRM Forum Pakistan will act as the unified voice of HR profession within the country and will foster continuous professional development of its members through activities like senior panel discussions, best practices day, deliberations on HR compliance issues, employee relations updates, group discussions on pre-determined topics, presentation on HR certifications, CEO5 discussion on expectations from HR for adding value, and patronising research and developments in the field of HR.
It was the considered view of all members that they needed a professional body at national level; which should not only encourage horizontal integration and synergization of all HR forums within Pakistan, but which should also align vertically with global HR professional bodies, from where professional practices emerge.
SHRM Forum Pakistan will prove to be a platform for HR professionals to interact, communicate, share professional experience, and engage in mutually beneficial learning activities. Networking across different categories will create robust interaction, serve the HR profession and solidify professional relationship building, this association will help in promoting consistency and standardisation in HR practices.-PR
