Move termed state terrorism: banning of 'burqa' in France slammed

Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief, Syed Munawar Hasan has said the French government orders for banning burqa, forcibly putting off Muslim ladies' veil and putting them behind the bars is the worst form of state terrorism and part of West's efforts to check continuous spread of Islam through discrimination against Muslims.
Munawar said, here on Monday, that the strong biases of people accusing Islam and Muslims of extremism and terrorism have been exposed with such tactics. He said that after 9/11, on one hand, the entire west is patronising blasphemy of Holy Prophet (SAW) and desecration of Holy Qur'an, while on the other, champions of human rights and civil liberties are denying Muslims their religious freedom, demonstrating their shameful animosity towards Islam. He feared that such anti-Islam measures besides increasing extremism would undermine interfaith harmony and obstruct efforts to prevent clash of civilisations.
The JI chief said that rapid advancement of Islam in the West is the cause of deep agony for the biased Western rulers who want to check this trend at all costs. However, he was sure that these rulers will not succeed as they could not stop human beings in search of peace and tranquillity from embracing Islam. He pointed out that the incidents of blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the desecration of the Holy Qur'an has only resulted in a greater number of people coming into Islam's fold.
