India releases 39 Pakistani fishermen

Indian government on Monday released 39 Pakistani prisoners who were arrested over violation of immigration laws, sea limits and crossing the border mistakenly. Indian Border Security Force officials handed over the prisoners to Pakistan Rangers at Wahgha border. An official of Edhi Foundation told this scribe that most of the prisoners were fishermen, besides two women.
After reaching Pakistani territory, Edhi distributed food among the prisoners. Pakistan Rangers officials handed over 31 prisoners to Edhi while the rest would be handed over to their heirs.
