Secretary General, Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Jehangir Badar has accepted MQM's invitation to attend convention in Lahore on Sunday (today). The MQM delegation, led by Dr Farooq Sattar, called on him at his residence and invited him to the public meeting. Badar told reporters that he has accepted the invitation and would attend the gathering on behalf of PPP.
Sattar said that the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain would not disappoint people of Punjab. Response of people in Punjab for MQM is surprising. Meanwhile, the MQM chief has appealed to the people of Punjab to support his party to establish society based on justice.
He asked the people of Punjab to attend the public meeting of MQM and join its struggle against corruption, dynastic politics in the country. He said that people would have to prove that they wanted to get rid of feudal system and corruption. It was unfortunate that only few families had been ruling the country for 63 years, he said adding that dynastic politics had ruined the country.
The MQM chief urged the people to support MQM for the creation of a society in which unemployment, hunger and lawlessness would not haunt anyone and rich and poor would be treated equally. Impressive arrangements have been made to hold party meeting in Lahore by the MQM mainstream leadership. Banners have been displayed on major roads of the city to attract more and more people. A large number of MQM workers have started reaching the city to participate in the convention like it happened earlier when MQM chief addressed a public gathering at The Mall Road few months back.
