Divisional Commissioner, Tahir Hussain has said that solid administrative strategy would be adopted for speedy completion of uplift projects and maintaining law and order situation with the consultation of elected representatives.
He was presiding over a meeting at his office's committee room, which was held to review the law and order situation and pace of development programme in the district.
The commissioner informed that co-ordination meetings are being held throughout the division under the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to apprise the MPAs, MNAs of the current situation of law and order and progress of development projects. He said that the co-operation and assistance of the elected representatives is imperative for making the strategy result-oriented. He assured that elected representatives would be kept aware of development work and law and order situation.
Regional Police Officer, Aftab Cheema informed the meeting about the measures taken for maintaining peaceful atmosphere and eliminating crimes. District Co-ordination Officer and City Police Officer, also, informed the participants about the pace of development work and performance of police department for controlling crimes.
