Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) in collaboration with Chinese firms is promoting agriculture technology, especially solar & wind technology to facilitate the poor farmers of the country through cheap source of energy. This was stated by President ZTBL, Muhammad Zaka Ashraf in a demonstration/exhibition arranged by Chinese firm M/s Shanksi Zentong International Tech Company in collaboration with ZTBL, says a press release received here on Tuesday.
The exhibition/demonstration event of solar energy and sprinkler irrigation held in the Model Village Chalianwala, Mandi Bahauddin attended by large number of farmers was also addressed by Vice President of YTO Corp Chentung & Dy. Manager Export. They thanked the participants and showed their interest to introduce/promote Chinese agri. technology for the overall development of Pakistan's agriculture.
The bank's senior Vice President M. Idrees Bajwa initiated the farmer to adopt modern farm practices to increase productivity yield per acre. Zaka Ashraf while highlighting the Pak-Chinese friendship said that Chinese government and people have been in the forefront to introduce/promote cheaper agri. technology and in this regard special focus is on biogas, windmill and solar energy which are vital in the wake of ever increasing electricity cost.-PR
