The Jamaat e Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General, has condemned the blast in the JUI rally on Wednesday. In a joint statement here, they said that the federal as well as the provincial governments had completely failed in the protection of the life and property of the masses. They called for banning CIA and Black Water activities in the country and immediate arrest of their operatives.
Syed Munawar Hasan talked to Maulana Fazlur Rahman by telephone and enquired about his welfare. He expressed deep satisfaction over the Maulana being safe in the attack. However, he was grieved over the loss of life and property in the attack. He offered condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
