Islamabad police arrest 29 suspects

Islamabad Police have arrested 29 outlaws and suspects during operation in various areas of the city from whom 7.230kg charas, 2.130kg opium, ten bottles of liquor and illegal arms were recovered, Islamabad Police spokesman Naeem Iqbal said on Thursday.
Sabzi Mandi Police during a routine checking intercepted a person namely Shoaib Khan and during the course of search 7.230kg charas was recovered from his possession.
Tarnol Police patrolling party nabbed two drug pushers identified as Nauroz Khan and Kamran Shehzad and recovered 2.13kg opium, besides Tarnol Police also arrested a thief Shehzad and seized stolen items from him.
Industrial Area Police conducted search operation against the suspected persons in the areas falling in its jurisdiction and nabbed 21 suspects who failed to produce any documents regarding their identification from whom further investigation is underway, he said.
CIA Police arrested an accused Shahid Mehmud for having 300 gram charas, whereas Aabpara Police arrested a thief Safdar Maseeh, who during the preliminary investigation confessed his involvement in different incidents of theft and huge quantity of stolen items were recovered from him.
Bhara Kahu Police nabbed an accused Jehangir for having 30 bore pistol, while a bootlegger Muhammad Azram was arrested with ten wine bottles. Cases have been registered against the apprehended persons and further investigation is underway.
