Following are selected highlights from a report issued by a US Department of Agriculture attache in Brazil: "Corn production is expected to reach 53.5 million tonnes in 2010/11 and remain strong in 2011/12 at 55 million tonnes as producers take advantage of strong international prices. Wheat production in 2010/11 rebounded to 5.9 million tonnes as a result of very favourable weather.
Wheat production in 2011/12 is expected to decrease to 5.2 million tonnes as producers in the top-producing state plant more second crop corn instead of wheat.
