Three alleged targeted killers arrested: CCPO

Newly appointed Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Saud Mirza claimed to have nabbed three alleged target killers and recovered huge cache of illegal weapons and drugs from their possession. He stated that while addressing a press conference held at CCPO office here on Monday.
He said the team of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh Police had given a task to nab persons involved in targeted killings. The CID team headed by SSP Mohammad Fayyaz arrested three target killers belonged to Muddasir Langra alias Chief group after an encounter at Bombay House located at blocks 6 Gulistan-e-Jauhar, while three other accomplices managed to escape.
He said the accused were identified as Rao Arastu alias Grenade son of Hyder, Nadeem Khan alias Rickshaw son of Abdul Aziz Khan, and Babar Ali son of Sabir Ali. CCPO further claimed that the accused were alleged of targeted killings, robberies, kidnapping for ransom, police encounters, drug peddling and several blasts.
He said the accused during initial course of investigation confessed that they had raped several women at gunpoint. He said the police recovered two Kalashnikovs, two hand grenade, two rifles, 5kgs of Hashish and several live rounds from their processions. Mirza claimed that the accused targeted over 30 persons including several political workers.

He said the detained persons had already admitted the murders of Abdul Kareem, Asad Ullah, Mohammad Nawaz, Rasool Bux, Mohammad Taj , Saeed Ullah, Amjad, Fayyaz Ibrahim, Abdul Wahab, Imtiaz Khan, Qarar Ali, Ayaz Khan, Asghar Khan, Muslim Khan, Khayal Nazar, Muzafar Ahmed, Umair, Syed Akram, Naresh, Munawar Iqbal, Mohammad Akram, Sadiq Ali and others. He said the police is doing all-out efforts and taking some serious measures to avert the targeted killing incidents in future.
