Power supply to 15 district of Balochistan was disrupted as unknown men blew up two towers of 220 and 132KV high transmission lines in the Mach area of Bolan district in the early hours of Saturday, officials sources said.
Spokesman for Quetta Electricity Supply Company (Qesco), Shafqat Ali told this scribe that unidentified men had planted an explosive devise with the 132-KV and 220 KV double circuit electricity towers of the high transmission line, which detonated, resulting in suspension of power supply to 14 districts of Balochistan.
He informed that the engineers and technical teams of Qesco had left for the damaged site, however, the repair work would be started after security clearance. Meanwhile, LEAs have commenced search operation in the area to arrest the suspects. A case has also been registered and investigation into the incident is underway.
