President National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Qamar Hussain has urged synergizing actions to serve customers and the national economy. Addressing the annual business & strategy conference 2011 he said that our key objective for the future to reduce NPLs, increase low cost deposits, inculcate strong compliance culture and enhance fee-based income to take the bank to new heights in next 4 to 5 years in general and 2011 in particular.
"We need to focus on core values to give us strength and direction to retain the top position that the bank has been enjoying over the years and through KPIs to capitalise on our brand, branches and customer base," he added. The conference, which is organised under the theme of RISE will continue for three consecutive days to highlight major areas of concern of the bank.
"I have zero tolerance for any lapse of regulatory compliance and bank's own policies or system and a lot of positive contribution can be made in these three days by everyone present here today," Qamar Said. Dr Mirza Abrar Baig, SEVP/Group Chief, in his encouraging opening remarks to the Regional Management emphasised the importance of the agenda that the management has taken upon itself.
He said 'we have great faith in each one of you and you shall not disappoint but succeed in taking this institution to greater heights. We shall not waste our time in speeches and dialogues but on work in the minutest details to bring the vision into action.-PR
