The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday sought reply from Chief Secretary Punjab in a writ petition challenging transfer of Children Hospital doctor Liaqat Ali head of rehabilitation programme for deaf and dumb children.
The petitioner Abdul Jabbar who is father handicapped child Muhammad Hassnain pleaded that Punjab government with help of special education department and Children Hospital had launched a project for special children under the supervision of incharge of audiology department Dr Liaqat Ali.
He said Dr Liaqat had been made OSD three months ago and since then children's regular check up was not done. He said parents of children time and again submitted applications to high ups but no one listen to them. He said bureaucracy had turned a useful project into ineffective one and its future is in doldrums.
