Capital Police on Friday nabbed two suspected car lifters while 11 others were arrested for their alleged involvement in different crimes. Police claimed to have arrested two car thieves when they were trying to steal a car from Sector G-11 of the Capital.
In an another operation six persons were held and three pistols, 1.5 kg opium and 30 bottles of liquor were recovered from their possession, said Naeem Iqbal, spokesman of Islamabad Police. Tarnol Police during special checking recovered two pistols with 25 bullets from a suspect Akhmat Hussain, while during a routine patrolling Tarnol Police stopped a lady and recovered 1.5 kg opium from the lady smuggler.
Aabpara Police detained a suspect Shakeel Maseeh and recovered 30 bottles of liquor, and Golra Police during a search operation took six persons into custody, the spokesman said. Meanwhile, SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of police officials. He has directed all SHOs to further tighten patrolling in their respective jurisdictions.
