Education must for making headway: Dr Ishrat

Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan said fostering the knowledge is essential to enable the country make a headway in the comity of nations. He was speaking at a ceremony held here on Tuesday under the auspices of the Sindh Technical Board at the Governor house. Prizes were distributed among the 42 students who excelled during 2005 to 2009.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik was specially invited to attend the ceremony. Rehman Malik on the occasion announced that the 42 gold medallists would be provided jobs in the Technical Department of NADRA. Sindh Governor appreciated this announcement on the part of the Interior Minister. He also announced a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each for all the 42 position holders. Sindh Education Minister, Pir Mazhar- ul- Haq, Provincial IT Minister, Raza Haroon, Chairman Sindh Board of Intermediate Education, Anwar Ahmed Zai were also present on the occasion.
Chairman Sindh Board of Technical Education, Professor Muhammad Saeed Siddiqui, in his address shed light on the performance and achievements of the Board. He praised the Sindh Governor and Provincial Education Minister for providing support and patronage.
