The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is organising one-day conference on "SME Banking in Pakistan: Global/local trends and role of value-added services" in Karachi today (Tuesday).
Shahid H Kardar, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan will deliver his keynote address at the conference. The conference will be held at SBP Learning Resource Centre, Karachi on Tuesday at 9:15 am. The objective of the conference is to identify challenges and opportunities in financing Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan.
Representatives of IFC, international bankers, senior local bankers and directors, BPRD, SBP will speak on the occasion. 'The current regulatory framework for SMEs in Pakistan', 'Global/Regional Trends in SME Banking-Learning from Experiences' and 'Banking with an Edge -Leveraging Non-Financial Services to grow SME Banking Services' are some of the important topics being covered in the conference.
