All efforts have been made by the provincial government to improve law and order situation in Lyari Town, the bastion of Peoples' Party, said Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza.
Talking to media after holding a meeting with the members of Katchi Rabita Committee at Agra Taj Colony in Lyari Town on Sunday, he said that a detailed meeting will be held with the members of KRC and the concerned police officials of the Lyari jurisdiction on Monday to ensure lasting peaceful environment in the Town. "It is our endeavour to end the climate of extortion and eliminate all drug dens in Lyari Town," he added.
The Home Minister expressed his determination to root out criminal activities in Lyari and particularly to bring an end to targeted killings which, according to him, have been contained to a great extent with the help of the area people and law enforcement personnel without any discrimination. "All the concerns of the Katchi community will also be addressed on priority basis, as has been pledged by the provincial government," he said.
