On the call of All Parties Conference and Pashtoon Olas Qaumi Jirga, a shutter down strike is being observed across the Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta on Saturday. Nawab Ayyaz Khan Jogezai, the convenor of Pashtoon Olas Qaumi Jirga and leaders of All Parties Conference have jointly given shutter down strike call to protest no control on heinous crimes in the province.
The shutter down strike is being observed in the metropolis Quetta and other cities of the province including Pishin, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Zhob, Loralai, Muslim Bagh, Ziarat, Kuchlak, Khuzdar, Gwadar, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Bolan, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah and others.
Traffic was thin on the inter-city roads. Heavy contingent of police and Levies Force had been patrolling on the city roads to avert any untoward incident. Meanwhile, political leaders including Nawab Ayyaz Khan Jogezai and Usam Kakar of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party, Hassan Agha of Balochistan National Party-Mengal, Dr Abdul Hayee of National Party, Hafiz Hamdullah of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and others lamented that law and order situation when had worsened in Balochistan even people from other provinces were avoiding to visit this province.
