Upward trend was seen on the wholesales grain market on Tuesday as wheat prices still on surge in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, wheat old Bardan (with sag) was up by Rs 45 to Rs 2825 and wheat new Bardan (with sag) followed the same trend, rising the same amount to Rs 2840, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-white (broken) low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 2800 and best type did the same after gaining Rs 25 to Rs 2825 due to asking demand by exporters, other items maintained the overnight levels, they said. On the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type was higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1360 while the inferior variety was unchanged at Rs 1400, they added.
