The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has planned to construct 30 pedestrian bridges in Karachi, Business Recorder was informed here on Tuesday. According to official sources the CDGK would construct 30 pedestrian bridges at various locations in Sharh-e-Faisal, Saddar, M A Jinnah Road and North Karachi as to mention the few.
The project, they added, had also been approved by the Sindh Government. The project would cost Rs 585 million and would be completed in a year's time, they told. Sources said that at present there were over 50 pedestrian bridges in the city.
Regarding the ongoing projects of the CDGK, they informed that work on Tipu Sultan Flyover had entered into a final stage and would be completed within 15 days. Whereas, the signage and the installation of signals was in full swing at the Karimabad Intersection and improvements were being done at Expressway and Rashid Minhas Road.
