Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has demanded of the government to give exemplary punishment to killers of Shahbaz Bhatti. The bar also declared Interior Minister, Rehman Malik a security risk and demanded his removal. The bar in a unanimous resolution said Raymond Davis should be punished according to Pakistan's laws and all CIA and Black Water agents should be expelled from the country.
The resolution tabled by Robinson advocate stated that brutal murder of Bhatti has exposed government's inefficiency. It said Bhatti's killing caused embarrassment to whole nation because he was representative of minorities and raising voice for their rights. The bar held Rehman Malik responsible for the murder of Bhatti and urged him to step down.
Addressing the lawyers, President LHCBA, Asghar Gill said terrorists have no religion. He said to quell terrorism, masses should keep harmony and unity among their ranks. He said Black Water and other such organisations are behind such incidents.
