The security forces foiled a bid to smuggle ammunition from Afghanistan to Pakistan. "Unknown men has hided a cache of ammunition in a stream in town, Qamardin Karez near Pak-Afghan border in order to smuggle it to Pakistan," official sources said on Sunday adding that the hidden ammunition was recovered on a tip-off.
The recovered ammunition included 18 rockets, dozens of hand grenades, thousands of cartridges and 18 bomb related fuse. A case has been registered against unidentified culprits and investigation was underway.
