The Lahore High Court (LHC) has disposed of a petition of nine employees of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) challenging their transfer as the impugned orders had already been withdrawn. Ghulam Sarwar, deputy secretary (BPS-18) and other eight employees of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) filed the petition and prayed to the court to set aside their transfer orders being illegal and based on mala fide intention.
The respondent chairman through his counsel Hafiz Tariq Nasim and a deputy attorney general Tanvir Hashmi informed the court that two of the petitioners had accepted their transfer order and also joined their new places of postings.
Moreover, transfer orders of four other petitioners were being withdrawn and instead they will be posted within Punjab while order of another petitioner Uzma Shahzadi had also been withdrawn and she will be allowed to join her previous place posting. The court disposed of the petition and directed the board to provide adequate time to its employees, if transferred, for joining new place of postings.
