Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Khan Raisani has issued directives to improve sanitation and cleanliness system of the provincial capital Quetta, adding that the provincial government would ensure provision of all basic civic facilities to inhabitants of the metropolis.
According to an official handout issued here on Saturday, he said this while talking to provincial ministers including Zamarak Khan Achakzai, Sardar Mohammad Aslam Bizenjo and Syed Ahsan Shah. He said the relevant departments should get suggestions from citizen's organisation and social circles in this regard. He discussed with the ministers the situation caused by torrential rains in Quetta and other parts of the province and other provincial affairs.
He said steps would be taken for development of metropolis Quetta as a large number of people from other parts of the province used to visit it due to its status of provincial capital. He said that surge in population had created some problems in the provincial capital adding that however instructions had been issued to Commissioner Quetta, Urban Development and other departments to finalise their recommendation for uplift of Quetta.
He said that provincial government would provide funds for execution of development of Quetta while federal government would also be approached in this connection. He said he would visit different parts of the provincial capital to inspect torrential rain's caused situation adding that meeting would be held with MNA, MPAs and citizen's organisations to invite their suggestions to improve the sanitation system.
