The three-day national anti-polio campaign will formally start in Punjab from March 7. Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Health Punjab, Dr Saeed Elahi inaugurated the campaign on Saturday by administrating anti-polio drops to the children at Children Hospital Lahore. EDO Health Lahore, Dr Umar Farooq Baloch and Dean Children Hospital, Professor Dr Tahir Masood were also present on the occasion.
The anti-polio drops would be administrated to 368,065 children age five years in the Lahore district with 2,847 visiting every house for the purpose. The teams, instead of volunteers, will consist of government officials.
