Shanghai copper down

London copper fell Thursday, but trailed losses in other commodity markets after news of a Venezuela brokered peace plan for Libya sent Brent oil sliding by 2.8 percent, while technical analysis suggested a period of consolidation between $9,780 and $9,942. Shanghai's most active copper contract fell 560 yuan to 74,140 yuan. Front month Shanghai copper is trading at a discount of 970 yuan to the third month.
