Corn, soyabeans and wheat futures fell in early trade at the Chicago Board of Trade on Tuesday as heavy fund buying that was expected on the first of the month failed to materialise. Heavy volatility during the past week kept funds on the sidelines, and most commercial buyers satisfied their needs on recent dips, traders said.
CBOT trends as of 9:56 a.m. CST (1556 GMT) on Monday: May wheat down 6 cents at $8.11 per bushel. May corn down 2-1/2 cents at $7.28-1/2 per bushel. May soyabeans down 3/4 cent at $13.64 per bushel.
