The sales comprised 709 tonnes of Giza 88 and 550 tonnes of Giza 86, the official said. The deal brings Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2011/2012 season, which began in Sept. 2011, to 21,701 tonnes worth $76.8 million. By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 85,644 tonnes of cotton worth $312.76 million.
