PPP ministers' removal: Khosa signs summary

Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa on Monday signed the chief minister's summary regarding removal of seven Pakistan People's Party (PPP) ministers from the province's cabinet. According to governor's spokesperson, the secretariat received the advise regarding removal of the PPP ministers from the chief minister's secretariat on February 26, which was approved by the governor after two days.
PPP ministers removed from the provincial cabinet are namely Raja Riaz (Punjab Senior Minister), Tanvir Asharf Kiara (Punjab Finance Minister), Neelam Jabbar (Punjab Population and Social Welfare Minister), Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna (Punjab Labour and Human Rights Minister), Farooq Yousaf Ghurki (Punjab Information Technology Minister), Haji Muhammad Ishaq (Punjab Revenue Minister) and Tanvirul Islam (Punjab Culture and Youth Affairs Minister).
It may also be noted that on February 26, Punjab chief minister, under section 3 of the Punjab Parliamentary Secretaries (Salary, Allowances and Privileges) Ordinance, 2002 (LXXI of 2002), removed 13 parliamentary secretaries. PPP parliamentary secretaries removed are namely Raja Tariq Kiani, Sardar Kamil Gujar, Dr Muhammad Akhtar Malik, Nishat Ahmad Khan Daha, Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Malik Nosher Khan Anjam Lungerial, Shaukat Mahmood Basra, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Engineer Javid Akbar Dhillon, Nargis Faiz Malik, Saghira Islam, Azma Zahid Bukhari, and Faiza Ahmed Malik.
