Friday's early trade: S&P rises one percent

US stocks extended gains on Friday with the S&P 500 up slightly more than 1 percent, led by gains in banks, technology and commodity-related shares. The Dow Jones industrial average added 82.23 points, or 0.68 percent, to 12,150.81. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 14.14 points, or 1.08 percent, to 1,320.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 41.73 points, or 1.52 percent, to 2,779.63.
Wall Street rebounded from a sell-off earlier this week as oil prices eased from recent highs.
